Couple No. 1 Season 5 by Mahabir Danwar Jewellers concludes in Kolkata with Aashish and Rajshree Mimani winning the title at a grand finale celebrating love and togetherness.

Couple No. 1 Season 5 concluded on a celebratory note as Mahabir Danwar Jewellers (MDJ) brought together 11 finalist couples for the grand finale of its popular relationship-based contest at Fairfield by Marriott, Kolkata. The evening celebrated companionship, mutual understanding and the shared journey of couples through a mix of entertainment, fashion and heartfelt moments.
Couple No. 1 has continued to grow since its launch, with the latest edition marking the fifth season of the initiative. The two-month-long journey featured a series of challenges that tested the participating partners’ creativity, compatibility, understanding and ability to work together. From the participating couples, 11 teams eventually secured places in the grand finale, where they competed for the coveted title and an international holiday to Baku.
Couple No. 1 : A Celebration of Relationships, Style and Bridal Craftsmanship
The grand finale brought together a distinguished jury featuring actress Richa Sharma, celebrity motivational speaker Naina More, Radhika Nowlakha Agarwal, CEO of Benchmmark Group, and Rajeshwari Danwar, Design Head at Mahabir Danwar Jewellers.
The event was also attended by MDJ directors Vijay Danwar, Arvind Danwar, Sandeep Danwar and Amit Danwar, who joined the celebrations and congratulated the participating couples.
Speaking to the media, Vijay Danwar and Amit Danwar said that Couple No. 1 had evolved into a celebration of love, companionship and shared experiences. They noted that every season had brought new stories and memorable moments, while describing the fifth edition as particularly special because of the enthusiasm and participation of the couples.
The winners of Couple No. 1 – Season 5 were announced at the grand finale. Aashish and Rajshree Mimani emerged as the winners, while Kanishka and Rakshita Jain were declared the first runners-up. Sagar and Jyoti Gehani secured the second runner-up position.

Fashion added another dimension to the evening. The male participants appeared in specially curated ensembles by Priyanka Harlalka, the official male apparel partner, while the women showcased creations by Sequins & Pearls by Vivek, the official female apparel partner.
One of the major highlights of the evening was the unveiling of ‘Rajwada – The Bridal Jewellery Collection’ by Mahabir Danwar Jewellers. The new collection draws inspiration from India’s rich royal jewellery traditions while incorporating contemporary design elements. Created with the modern bride in mind, Rajwada combines traditional aesthetics with a more contemporary expression, offering bridal pieces designed for women who value heritage while seeking an individual style.
The event was curated by San Entertainment LLP, a Kolkata-based event management and media curation company and the official event and media division of Hindi daily Sanmarg.
Mahabir Danwar Jewellers : A Legacy of More Than Five Decades
Founded in Kolkata in 1970 by the late Mahabir Prasad Danwar, Mahabir Danwar Jewellers has built its reputation around fine jewellery, craftsmanship and a longstanding association with traditional Indian jewellery.
The business is now led by his son Binod Danwar, along with the third generation of the family—Vijay, Arvind, Amit and Sandeep Danwar. The company specialises in gold, Kundan, Jadau and diamond jewellery, and says its products are backed by internationally recognised certification standards.
MDJ currently operates four retail outlets in Burrabazar, City Centre Mall in Salt Lake and Park Street in Kolkata, as well as Pitampura in New Delhi.
