Nalanda turned into Bihar’s political hotspot today as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a massive rally in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s home district. This was Rahul’s third election rally in Bihar, following his joint appearances with Tejashwi Yadav and Mukesh Sahani in Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga earlier this week — signaling a strong Mahagathbandhan push ahead of the polls.
Rahul’s Nalanda Rally and Aggressive Campaign Trail
In Nalanda, Rahul Gandhi’s address marked a direct challenge to Nitish Kumar’s political turf. According to Congress insiders, Rahul will hold two major gatherings today — in Nalanda and Barbigha — before returning to Delhi. He is expected to resume campaigning on November 2.
Meanwhile, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will take the stage in Amarpur on October 31, rallying support for Congress candidates and reinforcing the party’s grassroots mobilization.
Mukesh Sahani’s Marathon of 10 Rallies and Road Show
Simultaneously, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani has launched a blitz campaign with ten rallies scheduled for today. VIP national spokesperson Dev Jyoti said Sahani will start the day at 10:35 AM in Madhepura’s Gwalpara (Madhurama High School Ground), sharing the stage with Tejashwi Yadav.
From there, his campaign will sweep across Alamnagar (11:20 AM), Kothram Dhalan (12:10 PM), Baruara (12:50 PM), Kumhrauli (1:35 PM), Kanta (2:20 PM), Bochaha (3:00 PM), Minapur (3:35 PM), Madwan (4:10 PM), and Kudhni (4:45 PM).
The day concludes with a grand road show from Muzaffarpur to Kudhni, covering Ratnauli, Mahant Maniyari, Chhitrouli, Sonvarsha, Maricha, Pakahi, and Harpur Balra, before Sahani returns to Patna.
Mahagathbandhan’s Aggressive Front

With Rahul Gandhi’s Nalanda rally and Mukesh Sahani’s high-octane campaign, the Mahagathbandhan has gone fully aggressive. Their synchronized rallies and road shows underscore a calculated show of unity — and a clear message that Bihar’s opposition bloc is ready to challenge the ruling JD(U) on its own ground.
