Publications at the Muslim Institute, Kolkata received a significant boost as the institute held the inaugural meeting of its Publications Sub-Committee on evening of 09 September, 2025 under the chairmanship of Muhammad Jahangir in the institute’s computer room. Dr. Nayeem Anees, the honorary General Secretary, welcomed the members and highlighted the sub-committee’s objectives and future initiatives, emphasizing the critical role of structured publications in promoting scholarly engagement.

Publications

Dr. Dabir Ahmed, senior member and treasurer of the Institute, provided a detailed briefing on the institute’s journal publication process and stressed that active participation by members would ensure its successful release. Esteemed members, including prominent journalist Shakeel Afroz, Dr. Mohammad Farooque, and Ashfaq Ahmed, shared their valuable insights on publication strategies, operational processes, and foundational policies.

Further contributions came from Dr. Iqbal Ahmed, Dr. Shahid Iqbal, and Sheikh Parvez, who assured full support to strengthen the institute’s publications. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the institute’s Education Secretary, Shams al-Saleheen. The gathering underscored the institute’s commitment to enhancing scholarly publications and fostering a culture of academic excellence.
