Paparazzi harassment sparks outrage as Hrithik Roshan’s teenage son Hridhaan is chased by photographers in Mumbai, prompting serious questions about celebrity kids’ safety and privacy.

Qalam Times News Network

Paparazzi harassment reached a disturbing new low this week when Hridhaan Roshan, the 17-year-old son of Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, was spotted running in fear through the streets of Mumbai. The teenager, visibly shaken, was seen clutching a laptop and some books as he fled from a crowd of aggressive photographers.

Paparazzi Harassment

The incident unfolded outside a residential complex in Mumbai, where Hridhaan was reportedly heading towards his parked car. As he stepped out of the building, a swarm of paparazzi surrounded him. Paparazzi harassment in the city is nothing new, but the intensity and lack of restraint shown in this case has sparked renewed concern.

Hridhaan, caught off guard and overwhelmed, tried to make a quick escape. But the photographers gave chase, following him down the street as he desperately attempted to reach his vehicle. Eyewitnesses reported that the young Roshan was visibly panicked. He finally managed to get into his car, slammed the door shut, and even turned off the car lights in an effort to evade further attention.

When the Chase Doesn’t End: Cameras Still Roll After the Fear Sets In

Despite the clear distress on Hridhaan’s face, the photographers did not back off. Videos circulating on social media show the teenager curled up in fear inside the car while the cameras continued to flash. This blatant disregard for personal boundaries has led to widespread backlash online.

Netizens have voiced strong criticism, calling out the relentless behavior of the media. Many have urged for restraint and respect when it comes to the children of celebrities, arguing that being born into fame shouldn’t mean living without peace.

Social Media Reacts: “Where Does It Stop?”

Public outrage was swift. Hashtags like #LeaveTheKidsAlone and #PrivacyForStarKids began trending as users expressed solidarity with Hridhaan. Numerous public figures and mental health advocates have also spoken out, pointing to the psychological impact of such paparazzi harassment on teenagers.

While star parents are no strangers to media attention, the toll it takes on their children—many of whom never chose the spotlight—is beginning to raise serious ethical and legal questions.

There’s a thin line between public interest and intrusion. And when a teenager has to run for cover just to avoid being photographed, it’s clear we’ve crossed it.
