Investment at the Core of INDIA Bloc’s Bihar Vision

Investment will be the driving force behind Bihar’s revival, promised Tejashwi Yadav, the INDIA bloc’s chief ministerial candidate, during a series of rallies in Parbatta, Alauli (Khagaria district), and Shahpur (Bhojpur) on Saturday. Yadav declared that his mission was not merely to win an election but to rebuild Bihar into one of India’s leading states through industrial growth, education reform, and healthcare improvement.

He told the crowd, “We need to make Bihar number one. For that, we’ll attract investment, open factories, strengthen education, and ensure better health facilities. This is not about forming a government; it’s about reshaping the future.”

Tejashwi Targets Amit Shah and Modi Over Development Claims

Yadav launched a sharp attack on Union Home Minister Amit Shah, claiming that Shah’s statement about Bihar’s land shortage for industries was “an insult to the people of the state.” He vowed to set up factories and create jobs, asserting that “where there is will, there is always land.”

Taking aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yadav alleged that “the Modi government has not even set up a needle factory in Bihar.” He added, “The PM builds factories in Gujarat but comes to Bihar only to seek votes. The people of this state deserve better.”

Criticism of Nitish Kumar’s Liquor Policy

Yadav also took on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the state’s liquor ban, calling it “a policy that exists only on paper.” He alleged that liquor was “home-delivered” to the wealthy while the poor—especially women—were “harassed through night raids.” He referred to reports of confiscated alcohol mysteriously disappearing from police custody as proof of the policy’s “hypocrisy and corruption.”

He accused PM Modi of “hijacking Nitish Kumar,” saying the chief minister was “no longer capable of leading Bihar” and had become “a puppet in Delhi’s hands.”

20-Day Law for Jobs, Relief for Contract Workers and Women

In a major election promise, Yadav announced that if the INDIA bloc formed the next government, it would pass a law within 20 days guaranteeing at least one government job per family. He committed to completing all recruitments within 20 months, saying, “I can’t watch educated youth roam jobless with degrees in hand.”

He further vowed to regularize contractual workers and to give women an annual grant of ₹30,000, paid in a single installment.
