CAREER became the central theme when West Bengal State University’s Urdu department faculty visited Rishi Bankim Chandra (RBC) College. The visit of Dr. Razi Shahab (Head of Department), Dr. Tasleem Arif, and guest faculty Dr. Mohammad Farooq turned the academic session into an inspiring exchange on higher education and professional prospects.

The program opened with welcoming remarks by Dr. Ali Hussain Shaikh, head of Urdu at RBC. Dr. Mohammad Farooq began by urging students to see Urdu not merely as a subject, but as a living tradition. He underlined that teaching, research, and cultural engagement in Urdu open wide CAREER avenues that can shape both professional growth and personal fulfillment.

In his detailed address, Dr. Tasleem Arif explained the MA admission process and reassured students that the Urdu department at WBSU provides extensive support—ranging from a research library and seminars to close mentorship by experienced faculty. He emphasized that enrolling for postgraduate study is not just about securing a degree but about unlocking multiple CAREER pathways in academics, research, and beyond.

Later, Dr. Razi Shahab reminded students that every success carries fresh responsibility. He also discussed government scholarships available through both state and central schemes, noting that these funds often cover not only educational expenses but also help families. For motivated students, he said, these scholarships remove barriers and strengthen their CAREER journeys.

The event coincided with the announcement of the sixth-semester results, where successful students received congratulations and guidance for their next steps. Thanks to the organizational effort of Dr. Ali Hussain Shaikh, supported by guest lecturer Muhammad Luqman Ansari, the gathering became both informative and memorable—anchoring the idea that Urdu study is deeply connected with building strong CAREER prospects.
