Jungle Raj — that’s the phrase RJD’s National Principal General Secretary Abdul Bari Siddiqui used once again to slam the NDA government in Bihar. Siddiqui described the murder of Dularchand Yadav as a government-sponsored and state-supported Jungle Raj under the NDA’s rule.
He said incidents of murder, loot, kidnapping, dacoity, and organized crime have seen a sharp rise in recent years, yet the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and NDA leaders continue to accuse the social justice government of Jungle Raj.
According to Siddiqui, “Real Jungle Raj is when the law is prevented from doing its duty — and that’s exactly what happened in Dularchand Yadav’s case.”
Law Was Stopped From Functioning: Siddiqui Listed Three Key Points
First Point:The law mandates that in any cognizable offence, police must register an FIR immediately and reach the crime scene without delay. But in this case, police intentionally arrived late, allowing vital evidence to be destroyed or tampered with.
Second Point:Both the rural SP and SDPO publicly admitted, “No FIR has been registered because no written complaint has been received yet.” Siddiqui called this illegal and said that the police were duty-bound to file an FIR on their own.
Third Point:The SSP’s press release after the incident labeled Dularchand Yadav as a “criminal,” listing his cases, but curiously called Anant Singh “a legislator” — effectively giving him a clean chit.
Siddiqui argued, “These three points make it crystal clear — the law was deliberately stopped from working. This is the definition of Jungle Raj.”
Election Commission Is Now Part of Sponsored “Jungle Raj”
Siddiqui further alleged that the Election Commission has now become a tool of the Central Government, and its sponsored Jungle Raj continues in Bihar.
He cited examples: after the Model Code of Conduct was enforced, Anant Singh’s 40-car convoy allegedly moved around with weapons while the Election Commission remained silent. He also accused the Nitish Kumar government of manipulating official postings and transfers based on caste and political loyalty, often with recommendations from NDA legislators and MPs.
“This is Modi–Nitish’s state-sponsored Jungle Raj — where the police harass opposition workers and protect ruling-party criminals,” Siddiqui said.
NCRB Data Confirms It: Crime Has Tripled in 20 Years
Siddiqui presented NCRB statistics to support his claims: “In 2004, Bihar recorded 1,15,216 cognizable crimes. By 2024, the number had risen to more than 3,52,000 — a three-and-a-half-fold increase.” He claimed that these figures are still underreported because many cases never even get registered. “The industry of transfers, postings, and protection of criminals is now being run directly from the Chief Minister’s residence,” he said.
Bihar’s Development Promises Lost in Political Smoke
Siddiqui accused the Prime Minister and Home Minister of betraying Bihar’s demand for Special Category Status, saying,
“It’s been a decade of double-engine government, but Bihar has gained nothing — neither special status nor industrial growth.”
He reminded that Amit Shah himself had said industrialization in Bihar isn’t possible due to land unavailability. “Now, as elections approach, they are again fooling the people with new promises,” Siddiqui added. He also referred to the announcement of two SEZs (Special Economic Zones) in November 2024, claiming,“Those SEZs still exist only on paper. No investment, no industry — just empty announcements. The money meant for Bihar’s SEZs was diverted to Gujarat.”
Demand for Fair Probe and Strict Election Conduct

Siddiqui demanded that the Election Commission perform its constitutional duty, enforce the Model Code of Conduct on the ground, and act against NDA leaders who are openly violating it. He called for a speedy and impartial investigation into the murder of Dularchand Yadav and urged for a fast-track trial to punish those guilty.
State President Mangni Lal Mandal, Vice President Dr. Tanveer Hasan, National General Secretary Beenu Yadav, State Spokesperson Chittranjan Gagan, and Sarika Paswan were present alongside Siddiqui.
