Kolkata police are investigating a disturbing case after a woman alleged that she was molested, assaulted, and attacked with bottles at a 5-star hotel’s nightclub early Sunday morning. The incident — which reportedly took place between 4 am and 5 am — has sent shockwaves through Kolkata’s nightlife circuit.

According to the FIR filed at the Bidhannagar South Police Station, the woman claimed she was rescued by officers from the hotel’s liquor room, where she had hidden for nearly half an hour to escape her attackers. The complaint names Junaid Khan and Nasir Khan — both residents of Park Street — as the main accused.
Convict from 2012 Park Street Case Among Accused
The focus of the Kolkata case intensified when police sources confirmed that Nasir Khan is a convict in the infamous 2012 Park Street gangrape case, who was released in 2020 after serving his sentence. His nephew, Junaid Khan, has also been named in the present FIR.
The complaint details a violent confrontation inside the nightclub:
“While partying with my husband, brother, and friends, a few people started fighting with us. Junaid Khan, Nasir Khan, and their group physically assaulted and tried to sexually abuse me,” the woman stated.
When her brother tried to intervene, bottles and glasses were reportedly thrown at him. The group allegedly blocked exits and called for reinforcements — nearly 20 more men — who continued the assault.
Woman Says She Was Trapped, Threatened, and Rescued by Police
In her written complaint, the survivor said she called the police helpline but was trapped as the accused “blocked all the doors.”
“A few of them started pushing and touching me inappropriately… I hid in the liquor room until police arrived,” she said, adding that she had attached her medical report and asked police to seize the club’s CCTV footage.
She further alleged ongoing threats from the accused, claiming they had called her and warned her of dire consequences.
Police Begin Preliminary Inquiry
Officers from the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate confirmed receipt of the complaint and said a preliminary investigation is underway.
“We have received the FIR and an initial inquiry is being conducted,” an officer said.
The case has been registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita relating to voluntarily causing hurt, assault, criminal force, and unlawful confinement.
