Owaisi Under Fire: Shamim Ahmad’s Blunt Attack on Bihar Politics

Owaisi — that’s the name dominating Bihar’s political arena right now. With every party shaping its election strategy, Qalam Times News Network sat down with veteran human rights activist Shamim Ahmed for a candid and unfiltered conversation to understand the shifting political mood.

Shamim Ahmad, who has spent 25 years fighting for justice, human rights, and the protection of minorities, didn’t mince his words: “What we feared has happened. Owaisi is once again out to split Muslim votes and hand an advantage to the BJP. He’s not a leader of Muslims — he’s the BJP’s hidden soldier.”

Owaisi Digging the Grave of Muslim Votes

Shamim Ahmed isn’t just another political commentator. He’s witnessed every shade of power — from the arrogance of rulers to the silent cries of the oppressed.
He stated bluntly that Owaisi has now turned into an enemy rising from within the Muslim community.

According to him, AIMIM’s decision to contest 32 seats across 16 districts in Bihar isn’t political strategy — it’s a well-planned move to divide Muslim votes.

“This list isn’t an election plan,” Ahmed said. “It’s a burial list of Muslim votes. Announcing it in Kishanganj, not Patna, shows their intent — they target areas where Muslims are emotionally vulnerable.”

2020 Is Repeating Itself

Shamim Ahmed recalled, “In 2020, AIMIM won five seats, and the BJP fifty. Had Owaisi not fielded candidates in Muslim-majority regions, the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) would have formed the government. But Owaisi’s aim isn’t to win — it’s to make others lose.”

He called it a ‘planned game’, asserting that Owaisi divides Muslim votes, making the BJP’s job easier.
“When Owaisi shouts about ‘Muslim interests,’ Modi responds with ‘Hindu interests,’ and the entire election wind shifts in BJP’s favor,” Ahmad explained.

“Owaisi’s Every Speech Is Political Oxygen for the BJP”

“Owaisi’s rhetoric about Muslim welfare fuels BJP’s narrative,” Ahmed said. “When he raises religious slogans, it polarizes communities and energizes the BJP’s Hindu vote bank.”

“Owaisi’s Real Agenda Is to Weaken Secular Forces”

When asked about Owaisi’s claim of representing Muslims, Ahmad replied sharply: “That’s the biggest deception. If he truly cared about Muslim representation, he would have talked to the INDIA alliance for seat-sharing to ensure fair participation. But he doesn’t — because his goal isn’t victory, it’s sabotage. And the only beneficiary is the BJP.”

“An Exclusive Muslim Party Is a Dangerous Illusion”

Shamim Ahmed warned against political isolation: “India is a majority democracy. The survival of Muslims lies in secular politics, not separatism. Those who think they can succeed with their own party are digging their own political graves.”

Hyderabad’s Reality vs. Bihar’s Deception

He pointed out that Owaisi doesn’t contest as aggressively in his own state, Telangana, as he does in Bihar. “Hyderabad’s Muslim neighborhoods are still poor, dirty, and neglected,” Ahmed said. “But Owaisi’s family-run trusts, colleges, and hospitals are flourishing. That’s his definition of ‘Muslim welfare’ — they get richer, while the community stays poor.”

“If Bihar’s Muslims Still Don’t Wake Up…”

Shamim Ahmed issued a strong warning: “If Bihar’s Muslims don’t wake up now, their fate will be worse than that of Muslims in Uttar Pradesh. Owaisi will play his political game and leave, but ordinary Muslims here will face bulldozers under a BJP government. And when that happens, Owaisi will be nowhere to be found.”

Final Warning: Vote Wisely, or History Won’t Forgive

In closing, Ahmad said, “I’ve been working in human rights for 25 years. I’ve seen tyranny and deception, but Owaisi’s politics is the most dangerous form of manipulation. Muslim safety lies in secular unity — not isolation.”

His message was crystal clear: “These 32 seats are not just electoral contests — they’re a test of political wisdom. If Muslims vote for leaders like Owaisi, they’ll be responsible for their own downfall.”

Shamim Ahmad’s interview isn’t just a warning for Bihar’s Muslims — it’s a message for the entire country:“Keep religion away from politics. Otherwise, history’s verdict will be unforgiving.”
