District Magistrate Varsha Singh inspected the training program in Hajipur for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. She instructed polling officials to ensure a fair and peaceful voting process.

As part of the ongoing training for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, District Magistrate Varsha Singh visited Rai Virendra Singh College, Kutubpur Kothi, Hajipur, on Friday to review preparations. The training sessions are being held across six centers in Vaishali district for P2 (Second Polling Officer) officials.
Master trainers provided detailed guidance to trainees about the duties of P2 officers during polling. They explained how each polling officer must verify voters’ identities with the register, issue voter slips, and apply indelible ink to prevent multiple voting.
Inspection and Directions:
During the inspection, District Magistrate Singh interacted with trainers, reviewed the session proceedings, and asked several election-related questions. She emphasized,
“Understand everything being taught during the training carefully. Resolve any confusion here itself to avoid issues on polling day.”
She added that all officials have equal responsibility in conducting a free and fair election. Coordination among polling teams and adherence to Election Commission guidelines are essential. She further directed that polling staff, while on duty, will remain at their assigned location under the supervision of the Election Commission and will not accept any form of hospitality during the election period.
Mass Training Campaign for Polling Staff:
According to the District Election Office, a total of 25,727 officials and personnel in Vaishali district are being trained. The training sessions are being held in two shifts from October 6 to October 13, 2025, across the following six centers:
- Rai Virendra Singh College, Kutubpur Kothi, Hajipur
- Rambalak Rai College, Hajipur
- Shri Mulkazada Singh Inter College, Dighhi
- Middle School, Astipur, Hajipur
- Upgraded Middle School, Bishanpur Baladhari (Chandralaya), Hajipur
- Government Middle School, Dighhikala, Hajipur
Next Phase of Preparation:
District Magistrate Singh informed that training for P1 and P0 polling personnel has already been completed, while training for P2 officers is currently underway. Further, two district-level sessions and a third constituency-level session will be held at respective material distribution centers.
DM Varsha Singh concluded by saying,“Conducting a free, fair, and peaceful election is the prime responsibility of every polling officer. The training provided here is the foundation for ensuring the successful execution of the entire electoral process.”
